DANIEL HARDING, Director Musical

In 2016, Daniel Harding succeeded Paavo Järvi as new and ninth music director of the Orchester de Paris. Daniel Harding is simultaneously Music Director of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Principal Guest Conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra. He was recently honored with the lifetime title of Honorary Director of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. He is also Associate Director of the New Japan Philharmonic and Artistic Director of Ohga Hall in Karuizawa, Japan.

Daniel Harding began his career assisting Sir Simon Rattle at the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, with which he made his professional debut in 1994. He was assistant director Claudio Abbado at the Berlin Philharmonic and made his debut with that orchestra at the Berlin Film Festival 1996.
