The next 25 of April, Francisco Fernandez-Rueda will offer a recital at the Turina Space of Seville, within the framework of the new cycle of lyrical recitals organized by the Institute of Culture and the Arts (ICAS), in collaboration with the Sevillana Association of Friends of the Opera (ASAO).
The Sevillian tenor will present a varied and interesting program under the title "I sing to Seville", accompanied by Francisco Soriano on the piano; a program that vindicates the Andalusian and pays tribute to Andalusian composers such as Manuel García (I am lindoro, I will form my plan, great aria from “The Calculus Poet”, and the songs Parad avecillas Y Floris, in arrangement by Pauline Viardot-García), and Joaquín Turina (Dance of seduction, Salve Shaped Bolt, You will sing, The Giralda). further, will complete the arias program from well-known Mozart operas, Donizetti, Massenet o Gounod.
After passing through the capital of Seville, Francisco Fernández-Rueda will sing Winterrerise Schubert, together with the OBS quartet of soloists at the inauguration of the Badajoz Iberian Music Festival; It will be the first time that the well-known cycle of Songs in version for voice and string quartet. Among his most immediate commitments, also stands out The Coronation of Poppea Monteverdi, with Ivan Fischer and the Budapest Festival Orchestra (who already sang with L'Orfeo) en el MÜPA de Budapest, the Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza and the Grand Théâtre de Genève.
Considered by specialized critics as a versatile singer, beautiful timbre and great stage presence, Francisco Fernández-Rueda has performed with directors of the stature of William Christie, Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Fabio Luisi, Fabio Biondi or Jordi Savall, among others, in festivals, internationally renowned theaters and concert halls such as the Salzburg Festival, el Edinburgh Festival, the Opéra Comique, the Philharmonie de Paris, la Philharmonie of Berlín, La Fenice in Venice, Teatro Massimo Palermo, Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, Liceu in Barcelona and Lincoln Center in New York, among others.
