Registration is open for the Arnuero International Chamber Music Competition (CIMCA)

After the suspension of its edition 2020 because of the pandemic, return the International Chamber Music Competition what, for more than a decade, organize the Arnuero Town Hall. A contest that was born with the aim of serving as a launching pad for young performers and chamber music groups of different nationalities and that, this year, celebrates its eighteenth edition with a renewed image and a new format adapted to the current health alert situation.

In accordance with the new format of the XVIII Arnuero International Chamber Music Competition, The preliminary qualification phase will be carried out by sending videos by the participating groups so that the Jury, through virtual meetings, proceed to determine which will be the finalist groups. With the aim that the grand finale and the opening concert can be held with fewer restrictions, the event date has been delayed to days 3 Y 4 July 2021. With the security measures that the health situation demands at the time, the final phase will be face-to-face and will be preceded by the opening concert, which will take place on saturday 3 July at 20 hours in the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption of Arnuero and includes the absolute premiere of “Antinous” by Jesús Torres and “Magia Simpática” by José Luis Escrivá, works commissioned by CIMCA, by the Valencians Adrià Gràcia Gàlvez (key) and Fernando Pascual León (fiddle).

The jury for this edition will be chaired by the multi-awarded composer Jesus Torres and professionals of great musical prestige such as the violinist Fernando Pascual Leon, the pianist and harpsichordist Adrià Gràcia Gàlvez, the composer Jose Luis Escrivá, and the composer and teacher Angel Botia Santos.
