Family fantasy film and the Royal Theater

children's opera

El Teatro Real and the distribution company Version Digital will bring to the cinemas of Andalusia, Castilla y León, Catalonia, Extremadura and Valencia next 1 October, the funny version of the work of Felix Mendelssohn (1809-1847) The dream of a nigth of summer, based on the comedy of the same name William Shakespeare (1564-1616) who had a warm welcome last season at Real Junior. A show HD, for the entire family, that combines music, fantastic theater and characters.

Based on the play of William Shakespeare, that inspired the score of the great German composer, Fernando Palacios has created a tale full of fantasy, that rescues the characters and the spirit of the Shakespearean play, articulating the evolution of history with the various numbers that make up Mendelssohn's work, completed with the fourth movement ─Saltarello─ of his symphony No. 4, 'Italian', that will close the concert to the rhythm of a Neapolitan tarantella.

The story, that narrates the outrages of the goblin Robin in a magical and dark forest during the celebration of a fairies congress, will be accompanied by the evocative drawings of Monica Carretero, that will be screened to the rhythm of history and music, with a soprano interpretation Cristina Teijeiro, mezzosoprano Beatriz Oleaga and the Headlines Choir and Orchestra of the Teatro Real, under the direction of Nacho de Paz.
