The Quiroga Quartet and Juan Manuel Cañizares at the National Auditorium

Quiroga portrait

The Quiroga Quartet and Juan Manuel Cañizares are today two emblems of Spanish music. That is why the complement of both talents in that sum of aromas that is the Quintet nº 4 ‘Fandango’ by Boccherini and at the world premiere of the Catalan guitarist's commissioned work, equally virtuous in flamenco and in the music we call classical, it must be quite an event. Quiroga's versatility will remain, Likewise, shown in two works separated by almost two centuries and two continents, with the special incentive of recovering a piece as important as little traveled as is the Quartet No. 1 by Argentine Alberto Ginastera.
