Tenor Javier Camarena will perform on Tuesday 15 in the Cathedral of Burgos

Mexican tenor Javier Camarena will be one of the main protagonists of the acts of commemoration of the VIII Centenary of Burgos Cathedral with the recital that he will offer on Tuesday 15 June at 20.15 hours at the main altar of La Seo. In his performance inside the Gothic temple he will be accompanied by the Biscayan pianist Rubén Fernández Aguirre.

Tickets will cost 10 euros and can be purchased at the box office of the Teatro Principal and Cultural Cordón. The program includes a variety of pieces that include authors such as Händel, Rossini, Bach, Verdi, Bizet, Cilea, Mascagni, Morales, Hahn, Albéniz, Garcia Abril and Galindo.

The VIII Centenary of the Cathedral Foundation. Burgos 2021 organizes this concert just over a month before the temple meets 800 years since King Ferdinand III and Bishop Mauricio laid their first stone in 1221.

It was at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City that Camarena made his professional debut as Tonio in a staging of Daughter of the Regiment in 2004 and has since returned to this same auditorium for three more productions.
