Granados & Turina in Madrid and Barcelona


The Cuarteto Quiroga Y Javier Perianes interpret the next 26 in January National Auditorium and the day 27 at Palau de la Musica in Barcelona quintets with piano Enrique Granados Y Joaquin Turina, works recorded for the label mundi harmony on a disc that was released last November and has garnered extraordinary critical in different specialized media worldwide. This is the first recording of these pieces by Spanish performers within a stamp of international prestige.
We had to wait more than seventy years to hear, under the same recording, unfrequented three pieces of great Spanish masters. The form two quintets born in the early creative stages of Granados (1867-1916) and Turina (1882-1949) written with 12 years apart for more than a century. The works marked the recognition of both musicians both nationally and internationally.
Over the coming months the project will be presented in one of the temples of chamber music, Wigmore Hall in London.

His international career spans five continents, with presence in venues such as the Royal Festival Hall in London, Carnegie Hall in New York, el Théâtre des Champs Elysées in París, la Philharmonie of Berlín, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory or the Suntory Hall in Tokyo.

The Cuarteto Quiroga, resident in charge of the palatal collection of Stradivarius decorated the Royal Palace of Madrid group, It is considered one of the most unique groups and assets of the new European generation.
