The Liceu presents Puccini's Il Tabarro

He High school presents to the Liceu Symphony Orchestra at auditorium, after their performances in November 2013 and January 2014, a Bruckner symphony program, result of mutual exchange and collaboration that the two musical entities.

The Barcelona and National Symphony Orchestra of Catalonia and its principal conductor Pablo González, with the Choir of the Gran Teatre del Liceu and soloists, will perform next Thursday 3 July the opera in concert version Il tabarro de Puccini and the work Symphonic Fragments from the ballet Marsia by Luigi Dallapicola.

Il Tabarro is an opera by Puccini which together with Gianni Schicchi and Suor Angelica form "The triptych", an allegory of the Divine Comedy of Dante Alighieri, being Il Tabarro the part that corresponds to hell.

The work of Luigi Dallapicola Symphonic fragments from the ballet Marsia is an orchestral work based on Marsia, ballet by the same composer.

The program consists of two works: Symphonic fragments from the ballet Marsia by Luigi Dallapicola and the concert version of Il Tabarro by Giacomo Puccini, that complement Il prigioniero and Suor Angelica that are represented these days at the Liceu.
The main voices are in charge of angel Ódena, Alexander Antonenko, Vincent Esteve Madrid, Simon Orfila, Amarilli Nice, Elena Zilio, among others.
