The Canal theaters of Madrid present The show must go on, an emblematic piece by the choreographer Jérôme Bel who for the first time will interpret the National Dance Company under the artistic direction of José Carlos Martínez. This show will be in the Red Room in five unique features, of the 4 al 8 of April.

This piece was created in 2001 and is one of the emblematic works in the career of Jérôme Bel. A DJ spins eighteen popular songs from different eras: themes of West Side Story, David Bowie, Tina Turner, Police, The Beatles o Edith Piaf… On the stage, a group of twenty professional dancers and people outside the world of dance, of different ages and races, that together form a choreography of unequal bodies, play and follow the instructions of the lyrics of the songs.

The show examines the relationship between art and life, between the most colloquial and the most refined, and constantly defies viewer expectations.
