
The next 29 of May, to 20:00 hours, the Gala Concert of the second edition of the Royal Theater Awards who will recognize, in the institutional category, to three great personalities who, with his work, delivery and dedication, have contributed to the artistic quality, pedagogy and the prestige of the Teatro Real: Ivor Bolton, director musical; Andrés Máspero, choir director, Y Fernando Palacios, musical pedagogue, workshop director and presenter Everyone to the Gayarre!.
Linked to the Teatro Real as musical director since September 2015, Ivor Bolton is one of those responsible for the excellence of the Head of the Royal Theatre Orchestra, with a recognized plasticity and interpretive flexibility, that allow him to approach with great competence different styles, musical languages and eras. their interpretations, sound and delivery are today acclaimed by the public and national and international critics.
Together with him, Andrés Máspero, who culminates, this season, a professional career of thirteen years at the helm of the Titular Choir of the Teatro Real, leaves magnificent reviews from the specialized press, the warmth and applause of the public and international recognition with the Konex Platinum award 2019 awarded by the Konex Foundation of Argentina or the nomination of the Choir to the International Opera Awards.
polyfacetic, creative and energetic, Fernando Palacios He has been part of Real Junior since its creation, where, In addition to his work as a consultant, has collaborated as director, screenwriter and performer in various shows. He has created and directed the cycle Everyone to the Gayarre! -introductory music workshop for children and their families through humor and the active participation of spectators-, that takes more than 10 years seducing and retaining the child audience.
All three will receive, he 29 of May, the sculpture created by Cristina Iglesias for the Teatro Real Awards, and will join the winners in the artistic category, whose names will be announced throughout the evening.
The Gala will feature the participation of the American countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo who, accompanied by pianist Bryan Wagorn, will perform arias and songs by Georg Friedrich Händel, Franz Liszt, Fernando Obradors, George Gershwin y Philp Glass. (see attached program).
