Víctor Ullate presents the new “Carmen” at the Theatre Royal


Víctor Ullate has held a press conference on the occasion of his new show, Carmen”, at Teatro Real.

A “Carmen” renewed, the unconventional and XXI century. Carmen is, in this version, a top model dedicated at night to prostitution, and Don Jose'un police arriving at the brothel to stop. No fan ", comments Ullate. “In this version of Carmen the main character it's a mliberal woman, who makes decisions about his own life, who chooses and manages his destiny; the work as a whole speaks of the liberation of the human being and the freedom to be oneself.”
Ullate commented as a first that Nacho Duato has been interested in his choreography of “The Quijote” to bring production to Berlin. For this occasion, Ullate has made some changes to his successful show.
Accompanying the choreographer have been Eduardo Lao, Company Artistic Director, James of the Saints, Director of the Office of Culture and Tourism of the Community of Madrid and Joan Matabosch, Artistic Director of Teatro Real.
Before the press conference, an unpublished fragment of the show was presented, in a pass for graphic media in which the presence of the main soloists has stood out, Marlen Fuerte and Joshua Ullate.
the tour of “Carmen” kicks off with its preview 30 of June at Auditorium Theater of San Lorenzo de El Escorial and the 7 of July at Teatro Campoamor of Oviedo. After, will be presented by different national and international theaters:
