
Next Saturday 20 June at 19:00h will be released on the website of ABAO Bilbao Opera a emotional open farewell show, that will put the finishing touch to the virtual stage #ABAOenHouse.
This digital initiative that the Association launched in the past 15 April through its website, has helped the whole of society to cope with the exceptional situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, promoting the enjoy the essential good what constitutes culture.
Now and accomplished your goal, #ABAOenCasa says goodbye in a big way with an open event that gathers 15 dear and renowned artists in a very special meeting, full of love, talent and emotion. A show that combines messages, experiences and artistic moments, and which will remain in force until Sunday 28 of June.
Orchestral teachers like Juanjo Mena O Pedro Halffter, great stage managers like Emilio Sagi O calixto Bieito and the voices of leading performers: Marco Berti, Juan Jesus Rodriguez, Joyce El-Khoury, Jessica Pratt, Ismael Jordi, Marko Mimica, Rocío Ignacio, Jorge de León, Xabier Anduaga, Vanessa Goikoetxea Y Javier Camarena, join ABAO Bilbao Opera in a unique show that nobody should miss.
A PROGRAM FOR EVERYONE
During these months the initiative has received a great reception among fans of lyrics, as reflected by more than 132.000 Registered visits on the web of the Association and 290.000 social media views. Thousands of virtual viewers have been able to enjoy from their homes ten great titles of the lyric, four concerts, and unforgettable moments of the Association's operatic history with nine compilations they have added 53 memorable scenes from 40 operas and concerts essential. The smallest of the house have also been able to have fun online with seven shows of the seasons of ABAO Txiki.
On the cultural side, Fans have shared experiences and new approaches to opera at 10 meetings and conferences from the hand of artists, critics and musicologists.
further, Two new proposals were added to this virtual scenario: a special program for the internal television channel of the Hospital Universitario de Cruces within the project “Opera and +”, with the sponsorship of the Repsol and Petronor Foundation and the collaboration of LaCaixa social work; and the radio broadcast of four great opera titles, thus recovering a historical tradition of ABAO.
ABAO Bilbao Opera now dismisses this singular initiative with a great closing show to bring together all fans of lyrics, and with an eye to the beginning of the 69 Season next October. The appointment will be with The turkish in Italy Rossini, one of the composer's best-rated operas with a flirting story, charm, tangles and lots of fun, starring Paolo Bordogna and Sabina Puértolas.
