He CNDM proposes for its eleventh season an extensive musical program that bets on supporting the sector, the recovery of the concerts canceled last season and extensive activity in the capital and the rest of the Spanish territory.
The CNDM maintains its values in this new edition foundations for the recovery and dissemination of the valuable Spanish historical musical heritage, the promotion of contemporary creation, attention to less common repertoires or popular tradition, like flamenco or jazz, and the development of new audiences through various socio-educational activities, organized autonomously or in collaboration with more than a hundred national and international institutions.
– He CNDM in its eleventh season will arrange 288 different activities Madrid and others 29 Spanish cities from 12 autonomous communities, besides being in 4 foreign cities (a total of 33 different cities). – This season the biennial appointment will be held again Only music! that in its edition 2021 presents “Seven sevenths“, a marathon of four concerts that will take place in a single day in the Symphonic Hall of the National Music Auditorium. In this great musical party the seven “seventh” Haydn symphonies, Mozart, Bruckner, Beethoven, Dvořák, Mahler and Shostakovich performed by the best national orchestras under the baton of the North American conductor James Conlon.
– Education will play a relevant role again, with 58 activities, almost all free, in 13 Spanish cities, in coproduction with 14 academic institutions and a primary and secondary education center in the Community of Madrid, that will participate in the tenth edition of the Pedagogical Project "We all create".
– The CNDM will collaborate in the season 20/21 with 153 public institutions and private entities and will incorporate new alliances, among others, with Palace of Catalan Music and the International Festival of Music and Dance in Granada.

The season 2020/2021 It is composed of a total of 288 activities that will take place from the 16 September 2020 al 14 July 2021. The program will take place in Madrid and other 28 Spanish cities 12 autonomous communities, to which we must add 4 foreign cities with 8 concerts around Paris (France), London (United Kingdom), Elvas (Portugal) and Trondheim (Norway), until reaching a total of 33 different cities, with a wide range of concerts, educational sessions, interpretation courses, master classes and lectures by leading performers and creators. Total, will occur 230 concerts, with music from the 12th to the 21st century, of which 129 will be offered outside the Spanish capital.
The concerts organized in Madrid spread, again, in 10 cycles developed in its three usual spaces: he National Music Auditorium, he Teatro de la Zarzuela and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Nnchhahris): Baroque universe (Symphonic Hall and Chamber Hall), Series 20/21, Borders, Liceo de Cámara XXI, Andalucía Flamenca, Jazz at the Auditorium, Lied Y Bach Vermouth. In the next season the CNDM increases its collaborations until 153 public institutions and private entities. A) Yes, will co-produce the XVIII cycle Historical Music of Leon -Together with the Ciudad de León Auditorium and the City Council-, the current music cycles of Badajoz, Malpartida de Cáceres (Vostell Malpartida Museum), Segovia Y Valencia (Festival TOGETHER) and the cycles baroque in Oviedo Y Salamanca, in addition to the concerts co-produced by the cathedral councils and included in the series El Órgano en las Catedrales. In Palencia the II Festival of Medieval and Renaissance Music Palencia Antiqva, that could not be held this year due to the health emergency.
The CNDM will also promote its activity in the field of jazz with the aim of contributing to the development of a stable national circuit for this genre where it will value its main performers. Throughout this season we will know in depth the sound universe of this composer, of which we will hear a total of 17 works, between them, 4 prèmieres (three chamber music and a symphonic work, Ritual, to be performed by the National Orchestra of Spain at the National Auditorium). In the Reina Sofía Museum we can enjoy a wide selection of his works in different formats, including several absolute premieres, commissions from the CNDM, by Sigma Project, O Vos Omnes et Ensemble,, el Ensemble Telemachus, the Diotima Quartet and the pianist Noelia Rodiles. His work can also be heard in several of the cities of Circuits, as Badajoz, Alicante and Barcelona.
As artist in Residence of the Lied Cycle, the CNDM has this season with the Austrian baritone Florian Boesch (Saarbrücken, 1971), one of the most prominent interpreters of Songs of our time. With extensive experience both in concert halls and in opera houses, Boesch will offer three concerts in the Lied Cycle of the Teatro de La Zarzuela, in which you can see the levels of maturity and expressiveness that his voice has reached. In this new season, the the recovery of our valuable historical musical heritage with 40 premieres in modern times. Likewise, the traditional appointment with our lesser known lyrical repertoire is maintained with the concert version of the baroque zarzuela Jupiter and Semele, by Antonio de Literes in charge of Al Ayre Spanish under the direction of the specialist Eduardo López Banzo and starring a luxury cast of national voices. You will see its premiere in modern times works by Antonio Gallego, Juan Hidalgo, Jose de Herrando, Carlos Patiño or Juan Manuel de la Puente, in charge of the best groups and specialist Spanish interpreters.
