Giving visibility to young talents in the music field and serving as a support platform at the beginning of their professional career is the main objective of the CMCET. To that end, the awarded contestants, in addition to the cash prizes, they will have the opportunity to offer a renumbered concert at the Centro Botín and the Santander International Festival. further, as a novelty in this year's edition, the CMCET, in order to spread the figure of the famous violinist from Lebanon, Jesus Monastery and in its purpose to serve as a showcase for the young musicians of Cantabria, has added two new awards: The “Jesús de Monasterio” Award, for the most outstanding violinist of the contest, consisting of a renumbered concert at the Jesús de Monasterio House Museum and the Jesús de Monasterio Conservatory Award for the most outstanding Cantabrian group of the contest that may participate in its Concert Cycle.

Promoting today's composers is another of the objectives of the CMCET, and each year prominent current composers carry out commissioned works to be premiered at the opening concert. KROM TOGETHER, the trio formed by the pianist Pablo López Callejo, the violinist Daniel Bombín and the cellist Laura Núñez, specialists in chamber music of the 20th and 21st centuries, will be the invited artists in the inaugural concert of the Chamber Music Competition Ecoparque de Trasmiera 2019, to interpret the premiere of Threesome # 1, work of the composer and musicologist Israel López Estelche and Trio Trasmiera from David del Puerto (National Music Award 2005). The concert will take place next 12 April at 20:00 h in the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption of Arnuero, integrated into the Trasmiera Ecopark Art Observatory.
